When do I need a sworn translation?
Sworn translations are usually required when you need to submit an official document to a university, civil registry office, court, consulate, public authority or any other institution that requires a translation with legal validity.
What is the difference between a sworn translation and a standard translation?
A sworn translation has legal validity and can only be carried out by an officially authorised sworn translator. It is certified with the translator's signature and official seal and is typically required when submitting documents to public authorities or other official institutions. A standard translation, by contrast, does not have the same legal effect.
Can I receive my sworn translation with a digital signature?
By default, sworn translations are issued in hard copy and delivered by post. At present, I only hold a digital signature recognised by the Spanish authorities. If you have any questions about the procedure or the use of sworn translations, please feel free to get in touch.
How are fees calculated, and how does the quotation process work?
Every project is different, so there is no fixed pricing. The quotation depends on the type of service, the scope of the project, the language combination and the required turnaround time. Before any work begins, you will always receive a detailed, transparent and no-obligation quotation.
